Rise and shine to another surprisingly beautiful day.
Reflecting back on these past few years, I've realized that sometimes our differences will drive us apart only to bring us back together again. I know it sounds really ironic and absurd, but it's happened to me. I guess it really isn't about how similar two people are, but about how much they care about each other and how much effort they put in to maintain the relationship. At times, it's been tough, really, really tough, but those are the times the foundations with which you established the friendship are tested. I know my friends and I have been through some crappy moments, but like one of my best friends said, "we wouldn't be like this without it." And during those moments of kicking-and-screaming, you realize that nothing good ever comes easy.
So, take a deep breath wherever you are right now, whatever you're doing, and know that the tough times will pass. They always have.
